About CRPTC

CRPTC is a daily puzzle. Solve four mini puzzles (Five, a letter Sudoku, a word search and a mini crossword). Each one hides a letter in its circled square.

Every copy of those four letters has been taken out of today's cryptic clue. Work out which letter fills which coloured gap, read the clue, crack it, and lock in your answer. You only get one guess.

New to cryptic clues?

Every cryptic clue has a plain definition at one end and wordplay that builds the same answer, like an anagram, a hidden word or two small words joined together. Use the hints on the Clue tab if you get stuck.
